"Mola Mola and Manta Madness”

Bali Sunfish Safaris specializes in finding Mola Mola and has a success rate we are extremely proud of.
The best time to find Mola Mola is from late July to early November, although we have already seen some this year. Last week we has an excellent sighting at Tepekong Island off Padang Bai, and the following day our clients diving at Nusa Penida found three of these magnificent fish in Crystal Bay. Of course, Mola Mola are creatures of the open ocean and sightings cannot be guaranteed but our dive guides, each of whom has literally thousands of dives in search of them, will give you the best possible opportunities. If you can make your trip between mid-August and late September, you’ll improve your chances still further.
During your Dive Safari, I suggest that you stay at Padang Bai Beach Resort in the East Coast village of Padang Bai. The accommodation is entirely modern and very comfortable, while the village itself retains a quiet charm that attracts many of Bali’s more knowledgeable residents and visitors. The resort is set right on the beach and our dive boat departs daily from the door step. No long drives from the hotels in Sanur or Kuta, and no long walks with your equipment.
Should you wish to stay in the larger towns of South Bali we can easily arrange this and organise transport for you.
- All dives are guided by a certified and insured Divemaster or Instructor.
- Maximum of 4 guests per Divemaster or Instructor
- Nitrox fills are free for Nitrox certified divers.
- Computer rental US$5.00 per day
- Equipment Rental US$25.00 per dive package
- Non diving Companion 50% of diver fee.
- Snorkelers 75% of the trip price
- Single supplement charge of us$ 25.00 per day (if requested)
- This price does not include lunch on non-diving days or any evening meals.
For this Mola Mola and Manta Madness program, we do require a minimum diving experience for all participants:
- At least 30 logged dives
- Experience in deep and drift diving.
- Dived within the last 6 months.

- All equipment is less than one year old, except tanks which are inspected annually.
- Compressors checked and serviced weekly by qualified technician
Diver Insurance
- Bali Sunfish Safaris has Public Liability and Indemnity Insurance,
- Each guest is provided with insurance from Horsell International up to us$100,000 per Diver.
- All vehicle are fully insured
Dive Guides:
- Professional Dive Guides all with over 2500 logged dives
- Guides are renewed and insured Divemasters or Instructors
- All guides / instructors are multi-lingual
- All have dived throughout Bali and know all dive sites intimately
Bali Sunfish Safaris facilities & Services include the following:

Accommodation:
With just 20 rooms, Padang Bai Beach Resort combines a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with maximum comfort. You can choose individual bungalows for a secluded garden retreat, or balconied rooms with stunning views over the sea to the island of Nusa Penida. All offer air conditioning, TV, DVD and fully modern bathrooms, yet at the same time have a distinctively Balinese grace and airiness. For the budget conscious, traditional Balinese thatched bungalows give a unique feeling of ‘belonging’.
